Ngon Corner Vietnamese Cuisine - Best Pho & Noodles in Richmond Hill

Ngon Corner Vietnamese Cuisine is a Vietnamese restaurant that has quickly earned attention for its comforting flavors, thoughtful preparation, and welcoming atmosphere. Located at 9021 Leslie St unit 1-3, Richmond Hill, ON L4B 0B2, Canada, and reachable at +1 905-707-8858, this dining spot brings the heart of Vietnamese home cooking to a modern neighborhood setting. From fragrant noodle soups to refreshing drinks, the experience reflects a balance of tradition and everyday enjoyment that keeps guests coming back.

A Vietnamese Restaurant Rooted in Tradition

At its core, Ngon Corner Vietnamese Cuisine is inspired by the everyday meals found across Vietnam. The menu draws from well known regional dishes while maintaining a focus on balance, freshness, and comfort. Vietnamese cooking is built on harmony between herbs, broths, proteins, and rice based staples, and that philosophy is clear here.

The kitchen places care into classic preparations rather than chasing trends. Broths simmer slowly, grilled meats are seasoned with restraint, and vegetables are used to enhance texture and brightness. This approach creates food that feels familiar even on a first visit.

Menu Variety That Encourages Exploration

One of the strongest qualities of Ngon Corner Vietnamese Cuisine is its wide menu selection. Guests often note the impressive range of appetizers, main dishes, and desserts, which allows both newcomers and seasoned fans of Vietnamese food to explore comfortably.

Fresh and Flavorful Starters

Appetizers are designed to wake up the palate without overwhelming it. Shrimp Fresh Rolls with Peanut Sauce are a standout choice, offering crisp herbs, tender shrimp, and a rich yet balanced dipping sauce. These rolls highlight the Vietnamese preference for freshness and contrast.

Another popular option is the Grilled Shrimp Mango Salad, also known as Gỏi Xoài Tôm Nướng. It combines sweet, smoky shrimp with tart green mango and light herbs, creating a refreshing start that feels both light and satisfying.

Hearty Noodle Soups and Rice Plates

Noodle soups are a major draw, especially for guests seeking warmth and depth of flavor. The Phở Sườn Bò Xí Quách is served in one size only and features a deeply aromatic broth paired with tender beef ribs. While some diners mention portions leaning slightly small, the flavor concentration often makes up for it.

Rice based dishes offer a different kind of comfort. Broken Rice with Chicken and Fried Egg is filling and familiar, with grilled or seasoned chicken served over fractured rice grains that absorb sauces beautifully. Another favorite is Cơm Gà Hội An, a dish inspired by central Vietnamese cuisine that emphasizes fragrant rice and gently seasoned chicken.

For those who enjoy sizzling plates, Bò Né delivers a rich experience with beef cooked on a hot surface, often paired with eggs and bread to soak up the juices.

Vermicelli Bowls and Specialties

Grilled Pork with Fried Spring Roll and Vermicelli is a reliable classic. The combination of smoky pork, crisp spring rolls, and cool noodles creates a satisfying contrast of textures. Fresh herbs and light dressing bring everything together without heaviness.

Chicken Soup and other noodle soups provide comforting alternatives for guests looking for something mild yet nourishing. These dishes showcase how simplicity, when done well, can be deeply satisfying.

Drinks and Desserts That Complete the Meal

Beverages play an important role in the dining experience at Ngon Corner Vietnamese Cuisine. Vietnamese Black Ice Coffee is bold, slightly bitter, and balanced by sweetness, making it a popular choice for those who enjoy strong flavors. Coconut Smoothies add a creamy, tropical note that pairs well with savory dishes.

Thai Milk Tea is also available for guests who prefer something sweet and familiar. These drinks are more than add ons; they round out the meal and reflect the casual dining culture of Southeast Asia.

Service Experience and Dining Atmosphere

Guests often describe the service at Ngon Corner Vietnamese Cuisine as friendly and attentive. Orders are handled efficiently, and staff members are happy to guide diners through the menu if needed. While the space itself is simple, it feels comfortable and inviting, making it suitable for casual lunches, family dinners, or relaxed evenings with friends.

The atmosphere supports conversation without feeling rushed. This sense of ease matches the food itself, which is designed to be enjoyed slowly and shared.

Why Diners Keep Coming Back

What sets Ngon Corner Vietnamese Cuisine apart is consistency. The restaurant does not try to reinvent Vietnamese food. Instead, it focuses on delivering dependable flavors, a wide selection, and a welcoming experience. Review highlights frequently mention great food, good service, and a menu that offers something for everyone.

Even when portions feel modest to some, the overall balance of taste, freshness, and variety keeps diners satisfied. The ability to choose between light salads, rich noodle soups, and hearty rice plates makes the restaurant appealing across different moods and appetites.

What customers say about us

Fairly new restaurant… food is good, what you would expect from a Vietnamese restaurant. We had a larger group and the service was very good. They even allowed us to do separate bills. Food came in a timely manner. Portions are on the smaller side, depending on the dish. Place is bright and clean.

The food here is excellent—flavors are spot on, portions are generous, and everything we tried was delicious. The service staff were friendly, attentive, and made the experience enjoyable. Prices are also quite reasonable compared to similar places. That said, the kitchen staff should exercise a bit more care when preparing the food. I won’t go into detail as the manager stepped in immediately, apologized, and handled the situation with genuine attentiveness. It wasn’t a major issue, but it’s the only reason I didn’t give a full five stars. One thing to note: parking can be tricky. The lot out front is small, and you can’t park in the back lot as it belongs to Jumbo Lobster.

Decided to check out Ngon Corner on a cool spring day and it was the perfect accompaniment. A large heaping bowl of their special pho was just heavenly comfort in a bowl. Wife had he vermicelli bowl with grilled pork, spring rolls and sugarcane shrimp. It was some of the best marinade for grilled pork that we've ever tried. They have a huge selection of food you can choose from and while it's not the cheapest in the city, you really get what you pay for. This place is highly recommended.

It's ~10% more expensive than other vietnamese restaurant, but it is worth it.Broken Rice with Chicken and Fried Egg is delicious. Chicken is tender and egg is silky. The Secialty Grilled Combo with Rice paper is also amazing. Especially spring roll in the combo, it is the best I have had in York Region.

A friend recommended this place for Vietnamese food and I am so happy she did. The restaurant has a cute interior so group photos will have a cute vibe, the service staff were very quick seat us as well as to serve us, and the food is quite delicious. The Vietnamese coffee was strong just the way I like. I recommend and would come back for more to try some of the other specials.
